Taste of Eden

Have you ever thought how easy it would be to simply eat ice cream to raise money for charity? This summer it may be possible.

Taste of Eden/Slee’s who produce traditional, homemade ice cream at Winskill, near Penrith, would like to donate the profit from their specially developed flavour to the CFM Cash for kids charity.

Di Campbell, Charity Manager, CFM Radio, Cash for Kids, said:

“Taste of Eden’s offer to produce a charity ice cream is fantastic. All we need now is shops, cafes, cinemas, as many people as possible to sell it. They will help bring a smile to children’s faces across the county through a little taste of happiness”.

All the company’s profit from sales of the 120ml sized tubs of raspberry and chocolate chip flavoured ice cream will be donated to the charity.

Anyone who sells ice cream is invited to a free tasting and presentation courtesy of Rheged on Tuesday 25th May.

Potential retailers will learn that their margins will not be affected and how the “Eat Ice Cream for Charity” fund-raising campaign aims to boost their sales whilst raising funds for thousands of disadvantaged children in Cumbria.
